Swedish Massage
Swedish Massage consists of five basic strokes in variation, as well as some range of motion of joints and some stretches. Depth of stroke varies and is easily adjusted to suit each person.
The benefits of massage have been known for centuries. Records from China reveal that the practice of massage goes back as far as 3000 BCE and in other Asian cultures, such as India, since 1800 BCE.
Massage has been proven to relieve muscular tightness and spasms, increase blood circulation, bring more oxygen and nutrients to the body's tissues, promote the removal of toxins and waste products, increase lymph drainage, stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, assist in pain relief, and bring calm and relaxation to the body and spirit.
Reiki
Reiki is an ancient healing practice which utilizes Universal Energy as well as one's own individual energy to open pathways of healing. Reiki is a Japanese work that translates to "universal life force or energy."
During a Reiki session the practitioner places his or her hands lightly on or just above the body in order to align Chakras and bring healing to various areas of the body. The client may experience a warmth or tingling
sensation. The practitioner's hands remain in each position for 3-5 minutes covering up to 14 positions on the body.
The client remains fully clothed while lying on a massage table during a Reiki session. The therapist may use a pendulum to assess the state of individual Chakras. Deep relaxation, healing, and peace of mind, body and spirit are usually experienced.
Raindrop Technique
Scents directly access a part of our brain called the amygdala. Everyone has had the experience of being strongly affected by a particular scent. Natural healing and well-being can be encouraged by aromatherapy and direct application of essential oils. Therapeutic grade essential oils can be combined with any other modality (e.g. Swedish Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Reiki) for an enhanced healing experience.
Raindrop Technique is the application of therapeutic grade essential oils using a stroking and feathering technique. The oils are applied along the spine as well as on the soles of the feet thereby eing absorbed into all body tissues. RT is a gentle balancing/aligning tool that may assist us when we are feeling overwhelmed and stressed. It supports optimal health by reducing inflammation, infection and muscular discomfort.
Hot Stone Massage
There is nothing like the experience of a Hot Stone Massage. The massage is given using smooth healted stones of various sizes. Stones are also placed on different areas of the body, such as back, between toes or in hands. Cool marble may also be used to provide a contrast to heat or to aid in healing of an injury.
On-site Chair Massage
On-Site Chair Massage is wonderful for your employee wellness program, corporate functions, retreats, or health fair. It makes a great reward for the department or individual who has gone above and beyond. Upcoming wedding, birthday or anniversary, or just getting together with a group of friends? Chair massage is a wonderful, relaxing treat.
On-Site Chair Massage is performed in a massage chair on the site of the event. Clients remain fully clothed during a session. Sessions focus on relieving stress from the upper body.
Guigen Qigong
Qigong (Chi-kung) is an ancient Chinese health care system that integrates physical movements and postures, breathing techniques and focused intention. Qigong helps to maintain health, heal the body, calm the mind and connect with spirit.
Guigen (Gwee-gen) Qigong translates to "medical" Qigong. Consistent practice of the gentle, rhythmic movements of Qigong helps speed recovery from illness, can reduce hypertension and assist balance. It can help to regain a youthful vitality and maintain health even into old age.
